| Hi Charlie. My name is Lillian Agnew (nee Tumelty). I was really pleased to find your web site last night. I have often thought with great fondness of my days at the Ulster Hosiery. Originally from Dundonald and later Newtownards Road Belfast, I worked as a toe stitcher from 1966-1969 and 1970-1972 I left both times to have my first two children Harry and Joanne. I have often thought of all the friends I made and all the fun times we had together. It was a lovely surprise to see my name mentioned by Andy McCullough, When I saw his photograph I recognised him straight away, and brought a smile to my face. Other people I remember are Molly McKitterick, Liz Savage, Violet McCabe, Jean Smith, Shirley Couser,Eileen Pickering, Kate Hodge, Harry Keenan Ken Hughes and of course yourself Charlie to name but a few. As you can imagine after 40 years the names and faces are a bit vague. I left Belfast in 1980 and now live in Wales with my husband Harry, and my two sons Harry jnr and Robert. I also have three beautiful granddaughters. So Charlie thanks for all the memories and please keep up the good work. I will be anxious to read more memories from Ulster Hosiery (Berkshire).
