I worked there from early 1950 until middle 1960 just over 1o years and was a "mender" I enclose a snap taken in the beautiful gardens they were then.....that is me in the front row 1st left and Ina Boyd at the end of the row....Laura Mcdowell is in the back row (middle) with Hilda Moffitt.
Thank you for starting this website it has brought back a lot of happy memories
I had my son blow this tiny photograph up and he sent it to me via e-mail

Hi Charlie
Doreen(Born) with a couple of memories as a seamer, after reading Marion Jeffrey's email, I remember well all the singing that went on as I loved singing while working, but my colleagues wer'nt very impressed as I would stick to the same song ANSWER ME over and over again.
However they were really happy days and its great that, thanks to you, a lot of us can relive those happy days again in our memories, keep the emails coming Charlie, sorry I have no photos but Winnie and Thelma might be able to dig some more up, I believe there might be a reunion on the cards? wouldn't that be something? Thanks once again Kind regards
Doreen (Born)
